The school has invested in the 2Simple Purple Mash Software which offers a wide range of creative tools, games, and resources for primary school students. It covers various subjects, including Mathematics, Literacy, Science, Computing and more, providing interactive activities and resources aligned with the National Curriculum. The platform aims to make learning fun and engaging while promoting digital literacy and critical thinking skills. Learners work through various coding activities during the computer lessons and at Computer club as an extra-mural activity. During computer club the learners are afforded the opportunity of working with Micro-bits using the Purple Mash App.
Key Features of Purple Mash
Maths: Develop and consolidate maths skills through quizzes, end of unit tests and games.
English: With weekly spellings to practice, comprehensive grammar resources, non-fiction texts and opportunities for writing across the curriculum, Purple Mash helps to develop writers and readers of all ages.
Computing: The computing area helps children to learn key computing skills including coding, data handling, animation, game creation as well as industry standard office software.
Resources: to enhance curriculum topics in all year groups, Purple Mash will support your child’s knowledge and understanding in all school subjects.
Our school has a fully equipped ICT lab featuring desktop PCs, laptops, and a bank of iPads. These resources support a structured technology curriculum across the early learning grades:
ICT Program Overview – Pre-Primary to Grade 2
Pre-Primary
